Adrienne and I eventually began dating. Within a year we were living together.  We discovered how different our relationship experiences were. Adrienne married in college and became a young widow three years later. I was ending my marriage after five years with two young children. We’d get more serious and were living together soon. Three years later we would finally marry.

We married in my home church but it didn’t seem we had any counseling. There wasn’t any counseling in my first marriage either, although I married in the church. Our relationship began to cave with the weight unresolved issues, anger, arguing, disagreements, adultery, bankruptcy, abuse, no communication, and much more began flooding our marriage. I came home to an empty house one evening, with Adrienne nowhere in sight. Strangely, I called my prayer partner. It was at this time through prayer, I decided then I had to invite Jesus into my marriage, and now into our home.

This is where our marriage was born again…
